M3-The Night Owl -second floor
The best "room" of this flat is the small balcony where you can see all the old embassies buildings...from Palais de France to the old Palazzo Venezia (the old italian embassy) to the Dutch and the Russian embassies ...to the belfry of the church of Saint Antoine ..You can sit in the balcony and look at the street and at the passers by ...
The flat has a corridor where there is the small kitchenette right behind the entrance door. The kitchenette is fully equipped with kettle ,electric oven and natural gas stove ,big fridge and all the cuttlery and the dishes and mugs and glasses you may need to cook your home food or to try to cook some local food...On the shelves the weird collection of "glasses" (glasses,bottles,jugs...) I started in 2003 ....glass is one of the most amazing material !!!
Along the corridor there is also the washing machine inside a closet where you can find also the hair-dryer and the iron.
The living room boasts one of the best picture of Paolo Polacco : The Drop .It symbolizes the life itself and it has a very deep meaning for me....on the wall there are several zodiac signs painted by the same author ...
Again two old mirrors (italian style) that break the modern look of the flat ...Among the knick-knacks three ceramic eggs and an old box made by alabaster ...and some books of course ...and all over the small night owls....
The bedroom has some Paolo Polacco's works belonging to the years between the 1992 and 1997 and again some books ....
The bathroom has a newly made shower with a wonderful turkish style tile work in blue tone with flowers and motifs belonging to the Ottoman tradition .There is also a wonderfull watercolour with the Heads of Nemrut ...Nemrut is one of the most magnificent places in Turkey...
In the corridor some other pieces belonging to my glass collection and a picture with the 99 names of God in arabic...
I cannot list all the objects that populate the flat...Discover them by yourself and let them talk to you....
